- Speaking – preparation for the IELTS interview
The course will familiarise you with the format of the IELTS speaking test/interview. You will be given opportunities to practice different parts of the interview during pair-work activities in class. You will be able to develop greater confidence and fluency in speaking and will be given guidance so that you can improve your overall performance in the IELTS interview.

- Listening – preparation for the Listening Test
The course will familiarise you with the format and content of the IELTS listening test. You will be given practice in listening to authentic recordings and answering questions on paper while you listen. You will gain experience in answering different question types (e.g. fill-in-the-blanks, matching numbers and phrases, completing tables/diagrams) and you will be introduced to strategies to help you perform more effectively in the various different sections of the test.

- Reading – preparation for the Reading Test
You will become familiar with the types of text and the question types which are included in the IELTS reading test. You will be taught a number of reading strategies to help you to prepare for the test and you will be given practice in reading IELTS texts and answering questions. This will help to improve your performance in the test.

- Writing – preparation for the Writing Test (Task One and Task Two)
You will learn about the two writing tasks included in the IELTS writing test i.e. Task One and Task Two. After some initial input and guidance from the teacher, you will be given practice in writing task 1 and task 2 essays within a time limit, so that you understand the requirements of each task, and so that you can improve the way you organise your writing and respond to each question appropriately. You will also be given the chance to review sample/model answers.
